At the enthusiasm of earthquake engineering community attending the 12th North American Masonry Conference, Prof. Durgesh C. Rai presented a special talk on the performance of masonry and cultural heritage structures based on the field visit of the earthquake affected regions in Nepal and India during May 3-10 in this prestigious conference held at University of Colorado, Denver on 20th May, 2015.
The North American Masonry Conference (NAMC) is organized by The Masonry Society and a local hosting University which is held every four years and the recent NAMC, the 12th, was held in Denver, Colorado on May 17-20, 2015. The NAMC is a forum for the exchange of scientific, engineering, architectural, construction, evaluation, and repair information on masonry. The conference includes technical papers and sessions, panel discussions, and other methods of information exchange.
