EARTHQUAKE DESIGN CONCEPTS
By CVR Murty & Andrew W Charleson

This package (a CD & 640 printed pages) contains about 627 power point slides covered in 27 lectures, movie files and explanatory notes for each slide. It is prepared by Prof. C. V. R. Murty, IITK and Prof. Andrew W. Charleson, Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. Package is expected to serve as a basic material which faculty members of the colleges of architecture may use to build their lectures from. One of highlights of this material is the use of a large number of skeches and exaggerated deformed shapes of buildings to emphasise the concept.

The preparation of this document was supported by the National Programme on Earthquake Engineering Education, and the National Information Center of Earthquake Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur.
