                      An intensity V*  to V was given to Hulki and Dhuma villages as the earthquake
                      was partially noticeable and quite a few people remained asleep in these villages.
                      Minor cracks in the adobe houses and brick buildings were observed in these vil-

                      lages.



                      ISOSEISMAL MAPSS

                      Damage survey   was done in a   region  of about 200  by  150 km  up  to Damaoh and
                      Garhakota in NW, Katani and Banvara in NE, Dhuma in SW and Tikariya and
                      Majgaon in SE direction from  the Jabalpur city.  Extensive damage survey was
                      done in the meizoseismal area. Two isoseismal maps have been drawn, one for
                      Meizoseismal and another for entire surveyed area, based on the field observa-
                                re 2-16 depicts the isoseismal map for the meizoseismal area showing
